What is Courseware? I guess I would defined it as any learning-type objects. The use of the suffix "ware" tends to imply that the materials are computer-based, but that doesn't have to be true. Does it?
I had actual experience with computer-based instruction while I was in the Navy. Unfortunately much of it was awkward and not really very effective (though that might have been due to the highly technical nature of the information).
As for my career -- the whole computer/multimedia/internet aspect is bound to influence it in a general way. Besides I have always been a computer-geek wanna be so I naturally lean toward technology anyway. The possibilities are pretty exciting.
The learning objects idea also has possibilities and it will be interesting to see how it developes in the future. On the other hand, I am a little skeptical about how I might use them, unless I created them myself (you know, have my own "personal learning-object library") because I am so picky about style/format etc...I don't know...I am going off on a tangent. So, we'll see how the standardization and tagging issues are "finally" addressed.
I have been telling myself I needed to learn the html/website aspect of graphics and design for years. So that's going to be great. Plus all of the other projects all relate to that too. I think it's going to be a great class.

I look forward to reading my classmates' thoughts!
I think courseware is much more general. It can be online, computer media-based, videotapes, audio CD, books, notes, etc.
More details on my blog under "EME 6415".

Hi all,
I've shifted my EME6415 Blog Posts to a subfolder under /blog. In this way, I can keep the content (or labels) cleaner.
Anyway, if you go to www.francistan.net/blog, you will see an 'EME6415' hyperlink next to the LINK / HOME at the sidebar. Click on it and you will see my Blog Posts. Feel free to comment.
