Blog Post #12
Thinking ahead to your career, how do you anticipate being involved in the open source/open courseware movement?
PS: Since I messed up and forgot to post the prompt for post #11, you don't have to do it!

This isn't meant to be a criticism of anyone, just a fact of life ... I'm finding it somewhat difficult to keep up with the "3% for general
participation, such as
comments and extra
posts" requirement of these blogs when there aren't always many posts to comment on ... sigh ...
Helen.
I'll second Helen's comment. When people say something, it usually is interesting ... I can post lots and lots here, but I'd love to see you all post more on your blogs.

Ah yes, but will anybody else actually read this little dialogue? :o)
Who knows, maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised? ;)
I read it! I always like to look for comments on the site. If I don't see any I don't bother with it, but I definitely like using it!
I seldom get comments on my blog ... and that shows readership! :( I've also provided a link to my Travel USA blogs which I update regularly. Sometimes, I get comments from others not from the course and I just delete them!
I like the widget for chat/comments on some of our blogs ... Laura, Rachel, etc. It is easier to read.
Hey, I'm reading. Frances, I would argue that you should look at your site traffic to get a better idea of readership than your comments. I often read or watch, but don't have time to leave a comment every time (or even close to every time).
I find that I get more comments in my meebo area than on my 'comment' area. I think it is right there when you are reading rather than having to go to a separate page (and loosing the look at the content you are commenting on).
I feel so much better now ... Vanessa, you were right!
I read as well. I just don't comment, but I'm like that everywhere outside of this course. I guess I'm referred to as a "lurker". :)
I read it but I don't always feel the need to comment on it. And Helen I always check your blog because you always have yours up first and i like to read your input on mine as well. :)
Aw, shucks!
